iPhone 8 broken charge port repair and assessment

Broken charge port assessment:

Incoming device is an iPhone 8; glossy black in color. In addition the rear camera lens and the back glass cover do not appear to be cracked. Customer’s chief complaint is failure to successfully charge his iPhone 8. This is evident by failure of the device to register an incoming charge current on our ST1D device.

Customer has described that his charge port is not charging due to a foreign particle lodged inside his iPhone 8 charging port. The power button, volume up, volume down and volume rocker all provide positive tactile feedback.

Furthermore the home button and touch ID are both responsive. Rear camera and front camera are both functional. However we will not be testing the microphone or speaker phone at this time because it will not be addressed during this broken charge port repair. This is a Verizon LTE device with about 39 % battery level.

Customer stated he was referred over to Cyberion by the Verizon store near 21240, Baltimore, Anne Arundel, MD. I speculate customer recently went on a camping trip in the wild where he wrestled a bear and in the process managed to get some dirt inside the charging port.
